FOR GENERAL RELEASE:
CMPQwk Reader 1.1, by Derek Backus, is available now. Some of the
features of CMPQwk:
* Fixes all known 1.0 bugs, quirks, and so on
* Full MDI application with multiple Read, Write, and Index
windows
* 227,000 word automatic spell-checker
* Folder tools to store messages offline with long descriptions
and multiple folders
* Color highlighting of quoted text
* Automatic Signature and user-defined Rubber Stamp text
* Multiple font selections (although the message sent is always
plain ASCII)
* New Automatic internal PKZIP 2.x unpacking & internal packing
* Understands the command lines for most popular packers (just
check a box to pick the one you want)
* Comprehensive online help with complete explanations of all
features and Advanced user section
* VGA and SVGA toolbar for quick access to most functions
* Automatic QWK file renaming & QWK file management operations
from inside the program
* User-selectable window placements and sizings for the Read,
Conference List, Write, and Index windows. The program will let
you pick where and how big it puts its windows. No more MDI
clutter!
* Fast search functions
* ANSI viewer
* Quick Exit feature. Pick Quick Exit and the next time you
launch CMPQwk, it picks up with the same packet (and your
replies) right where you left off
* Delete outgoing messages with ability to recover them later before
the packet is built (toggle delete on/off with "delete reply" button
on the toolbar).
Please take a look at this program. On the Internet look for
the file CQWK110.ZIP. This file will be placed on the following FTP
archive sites:

On your local BBS look for CQWK110A.ZIP and CQWK110B.ZIP (B
is the spell-checker module, required to enable spell-checking.)

If you want to look for the latest version of CMPQwk the
support sites will always have it first. You may call under
the user name CMPQWK DOWNLOAD with the password UPDATE to
check for new posts in the CMPQWK SUPPORT conference on
the two support BBS sites.
DO NOT LOG ON as a new user on the BBS sites UNLESS
you want to participate as a user on the respective BBS. If
you leave a [C]omment for Derek Backus be sure to leave your
name so he may reply directly. If you need support in that
manner, you will have to call in again under your name to
check for a reply.
